Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, each student should be able to:

• Create basic control programs
• Use programming and naming standards
• Create a symbol library
• Commission a control program
• Use Snap productivity tools
• Demonstrate ZS Sensor logic
• Translate PID Loop Control
• Make major edits to an existing control program
• Create an advanced control program with a custom sequence of operation
• To acquire a working knowledge of the ViewBuilder application and its options as well as editing equipment and floorplan graphics.

Training Methods Used

This course uses a combination of classroom lecture, demonstrations using the controls simulators, computer lab and workshops to present the material. Student’s achievement of the learning objectives is determined by successful completion of the workshops, and final written exam. Workshops are instructor guided exercises using the procedures taught in the lectures.

Prerequisites

You must complete and have passed the Carrier Comfort Systems (CS), Carrier i-Vu Systems (IS), and Carrier Encompass Systems Essentials (ES) class to attend this course.

Completion requirements

To receive a certificate for this course student must be present for the entire course, complete all workshops and receive a grade of 70% on graded final.

Class hours

Class starts at 8 AM and runs until 5 PM each day that training is scheduled. All commercial control classes are multiple days in duration. Travel arrangements should be made accordingly.

Food

We will be providing coffee, water, and a light snack that can be consumed through the day as well as a catered lunch.

$1200 per student
