Taking a Deeper Dive in Search of Root Cause Troubleshooting In-Person Classroom Wilmington

This class will build on the Fall 2022 class, “Taking the Guesswork out of Troubleshooting”, covering more tips and tricks of the trade focusing on making a correct diagnosis the first time and determining what caused the issue.  This class is geared toward residential HVAC.  Attendance at the Fall 2022 class is not a requirement to attend this class.

The class will cover:

• Using modern methods to speed up troubleshooting and make a more accurate diagnosis.
• Using test instruments to get useful information to help make an accurate diagnosis.
• Is the compressor failure cause electrical or mechanical?
• Using different methods to measure airflow, which is many times the root cause of failures
• Taking a deeper dive into control boards and understanding what must happen to make the unit work correctly.
• Discussion of common mistakes technicians are prone to make.

Technicians of all experience levels will benefit from this class.
